Artists communicate through their work; i communicate through my work by putting the things i like in my art, by putting a little something that tells you what kind of person i am.
Artists take risks; I take risks by drawing things that are very difficult that i've never drawn before, that is how i take risks because i do that all the time.

Artists create original art; I created original art by making a collage of things that involve man and machine such as a tattoo gun and hands and boots and music notes.
Artists Reflect; I reflected on my art and made a plan by drawing multiple things and making them decent, and then getting ideas about what i want my main picture to be. I think that's a great way to get ideas for what you want your big picture to be, is to look around.

Artists Develop Art Making Skills: I developed art making skills by seeing what you could do with the oil pastels, and i made something that I honestly think looks pretty cool. I think i did a good job for it being my first time trying something like this with this material. i like this material because it gives you the opportunity to make something creative by just usually scribbling in circles, the results are great.
This is chalk pastel. I like this material because it allows you to blend colors with your finger and make the colors smooth. I usually just smear the colors together with my finger to make them glide together and look a little better.
Artists take risks~ i took a risk with this artwork. I took a risk by blending difficult colors. The hardest part of blending these colors was the yellow and the blue, because they don't compliment each other. so in order to do that, i made to make green. By doing this, i made it to where the yellow and blue flow together.
Artists communicate through their art work~ I communicated through this piece by expressing the things that i like. For example, the music note. I drew a music note to say that i love music such as the drums and guitar. Another example, the tattoo gun, i love Drawing tattoos for my dad. The boot, i am the country type of person. The pencil, i drew that because i love to draw my ideas on a piece of paper.

Artists create original art. I created original art by putting a style that i like, such as camo, on the flight girls dress. I made her have a white, green and black camo dress. I haven't seen a camo dress in art like ever. By putting camo in the dress, i put a part of me into my artwork.
Artists reflect. I reflected in my artwork by how i did the dress. At first, i had made the dress colorful camo. After i stepped back and actually looked at my art, i decided to go with traditional green. That made my art reflect by making everything look better.

Artist Statement
I created this piece to show sound, and it means to me that you can show sound in so many different ways. What i was thinking when i first started my artwork, i was thinking that i was just going to do a plain and simple rubber stamp with sound waves carved into it that said sound. The emotions i wished to convey was desire, happiness, and imagination. What inspired me was, to use many mediums instead of just one. I really didn't have a message to send to anyone. The end result is not what i expected because i didn't expect it to flow together. What was hard about this art work was the oil pastels and trying to blend them together to make it look like that's exactly how it's supposed to be. I would like the viewer to look at my piece and say, Wow that's amazing coloring, it works so well together. I call the piece waves because i feel like everything is in tune, and the oil pastels look like the waves in the ocean. The materials i used were, oil pastels, ink, rubber canvas, and black paper, i used them because usually dark paper goes with neon bright colors to make it pop. I was familiar with my medias because i knew what i was doing and how it would turn out to be what it was.
